Machine Pitch baseball is for boys and girls who are League Ages 7 and 8 who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Machine Pitch, players will hit a baseball thrown from a pitching machine (operated by the coaches). Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching; however, during the course of a season additional rules will be introduced at an appropriate time. The primary goals of Machine Pitch are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork.
We are going to incorporate two (2) All-Girls Machine Pitch teams this season. The girls teams in the Machine Pitch division will be participating against other co-ed teams and in some cases all-boys teams. When the two all-girls' teams play each other, the game can be played with the coaches pitching a softball. If you are interested in your daughter participating on an All-Girls Machine Pitch team (it is a first come, first serve team), please make sure you tell us in the “Special Requests/Comments" section in the registration application.
Participants who are of League Age 6 may be allowed to participate in this division if the participant has played at least one year of Tee Ball and parents feel it is developmentally appropriate.
